Piroxicam is an NSAID or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for effectively treating fever, pain, and inflammation in the body. The drug is non-narcotic reliever of mild to moderate pain of many types, including injury, menstrual cramps, arthritis, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Rheumatoid Arthritis, osteoarthritis, Spondylitis: 20 mg daily as single dose.
Maintenance: 10-30 mg
Acute gout: 40 mg daily as a single dose
Maintenance dose: 40 mg as single or divided doses for 4-6 days.
