used for treating certain bacterial infections including pneumonia;

skin, and urinary tract infections. The drug is also used to treat
Peritonitis and gonorrhoea.

Dosage
Adults: 200-400 mg daily usually for 5-76 days depending on the type
and severity of infection. Doses greater than 400 mg should be given in 2
divided doses
Urinary Tract Infection: 200-800 mg daily
Lower respiratory tract infection: 400-800 mg daily
Gonorrhoea: 400 mg as a single dose
Contra- Indications: Hypersensitivity to 4-quinolones. History of
epilepsy. Pregnancy and lactation
Side Effects
The drug has certain side effects, that can affect individuals in different
