Levofloxacin is a synthetic
antibacterial agent of the flouroquinolone class and in the S(-)
enantiomer of the racemic drug substance ofloxacin.
The drug is used for treating infections including pneumonia;
chronic bronchitis; and sinus, urinary tract, kidney, and skin
infections. It can be administered intravenously or orally.

Working
The drug acts by inhibiting and removing bacteria that cause
infections.
Dosage
Once or twice daily. Maximum duration of treatment of 14 days.
Contra- Indications: Hypersensitivity, epilepsy, history of
tendon disorders, in children or growing adolescents.

The drug has certain side effects, that can affect individuals in
