Doxycycline is a popular
antibiotic belonging to the class known as 'Tetracyclines'. The drug
is used for treating various bacterial infections in different parts
of human body. It effectively treats respiratory tract infections,
pneumonia, skin infections, urinary and genital infections.
The drug is well absorbed from the gut, even after food and is
excreted in the bile, in the faeces, which it re- enters by
diffusing across the small intestinal wall, and , to some extent in

Dosage
1st day 100 mg, 12 hourly followed by 100 mg daily.
Contra- Indications: Hypersensitivity
