Diclofenac is a drug belonging
to the class of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It
has analgesic and anti pyretic properties. It is widely used for
reducing pain, stiffness and inflammation caused by conditions,
including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, abdominal cramps
associated with menstruation.
The drug is manufcatured and supplied as either the sodium or
potassium salt. It is also available as a generic drug in a number
of formulations. It is also sold as OTC drug in certain countries.
The drug is available in delayed release tablets, immediate release
tablets and also extended release tablets

Working
The drug acts by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain
in the body.
Dosage
50 mg three times daily
Contra- Indications: Peptic ulcer, known hypersensitivity to
the active substances.
