Description
Cefadroxil is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, a bactericidal antibiotic,
effective in Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial infections. It is a
first-generation cephalosporin antibacterial drug that is the para-hydroxy
derivative of cefalexin. However, it will not work for colds, flu, or other
viral infections.
Available in tablets and liquid form.
Uses
- Used in the treatment of mild to moderate susceptible infections.
- To treat infections caused by bacteria like throat, skin, ears,
respiratory tract, sinuses, and urinary tract infections.
How to use?
Use as directed by your physician. Usually should be taken once a day or
every 12 hours (twice a day) for about a week . Do not take more than what
it is recommended. Shake the liquid well before each use and use a proper
measuring spoon. The tablets should be swallowed whole and taken with a full
glass of water.
