Working
This antihistaminic and antiserotonergic agent acts as a 5-HT2 receptor
antagonist and also blocks calcium channels. It treats various allergies and
stimulates appetite in underweight people.
The drug may sometimes be used to combat SSRI-induced sexual dysfunction
and rarely as a prophylactic drug for migraine.
Dosage
Adults and Children (7 -14 yrs): 12 mg daily in 3 divided doses
Children ( 2-6yrs): Max. daily dose 8 mg
