Viron Therapeutics Inc has got three more US patents for
its drugs VT-111, VT-346 and VT-384. Viron's multiple therapeutic candidates
already has 80 drugs that has got US patent. VT-111 has shown potent effects
for preclinical suppression of prolonged organ transplant rejection. Under
the trial period 48 patients showed the reduction in the damage of cardiac
tissue while getting cardiac stent implants.
VT-346 of Viron Therapeutics is a strong inhibitor of TNF-a. During trial
period it has been seen that VT-346 is 100 times more potent than the
therapeutics products presently there in the market. VT-346 has been entitle
as "Nucleic acid molecules and polypeptides for immune modulation",
treats immuno-modulatory disorders because of inflammation. This includes
rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, inflammatory bowels, and transplant
rejections.
VT-384 got Notice of Allowance from US patent office. VT-384 is a protein
that has been derived from Yatapoxvirus, targeting IL-18, a cytokine. These
US patents to Viron Therapeutic Inc shows its ability to develop new
therapeutics.
